As a new student of studio art, back at my easel I wondered how do I paint 10 of this one image?’ And immediately found myself scrambling: paint the same thing over and over again and yet do it differently? An answer that came: drip the paint on! So I cut a piece of paper the same size as my original and began. No. 1 was not very successful as you can see here. And No. 2 is not even shown (it is just like this one, but I used a ‘dry’ brush effect instead of ‘wet’). No. 2 was–I painted over it–even less interesting.
