Plein Air Paint Outs, Summer 2008

July, 2008

Wyoming, Cheyenne and the hinterlands.

I had applied and been accepted into week-long Plein air 'Paint Out' in Wyoming among about 40 fine artists. It was an extraordinary learning exercise and great fun.

August, 2008

Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspen, Colorado.

I had also applied for a second, two-week Paint Out--camping and painting in this beautiful national park. Standing alongside great plein air painters from around the country was a unique opportunity to learn . . . and great fun.

Being selected for these two Paint Outs was a distinct honor and I found new artist friends.
